my iceland holidays

by gunnisal

Iceland appears to be on the a small point, but in relation to its surface (about 103,000 km2), it offers an extremely diverse landscapes ranging from the mountains, glaciers, fiordy, waterfalls, the wulkanach and lava fields at the end. Iceland lies on midlleatlantic sea border separating two continental plates: European and American, which puting of from each other by about 2 cm per year. Accompanied ago volcanic eruptions, geothermal activity (geysers and hot sources) and the occasional earthquake. Iceland characterized by the presence of hundreds of volcanoes, but "only" about 40 of them are active. The most famous is Hekla - considered a gateway to hell and Krafla - which regularly gives of himself to know. On average, every five years can expect an Icelandic volcano eruptions in his country, and the lava fields cover 11% of the surface of the island. Geothermal energy is controled by the inhabitants of the island for heating and electricity production. In this way, is heated over 90% of all Icelandic homes. Fossil fuels are used only for propulsion vehicles (except hydrogen powered public transport buses in Reykjavik), while the electricity comes mainly from hydroelectric plants. This Icelandic have access to cheap and clean energy. Approximately 11% of the land surface is covered glaciers. The biggest of them - Vatnajökull is the third-largest in the world (after Antarctica and Greenland) czapa ice, with a thickness of up to 1 km. The climate of Iceland is a surprisingly mild (such as the latitude). All through the island opływającemu warm marine electrical current - Golfsztrom. The average temperature in Reykjavik in January (-0.6 degree C) temperature does not deviate from the New York and is far higher than Stockholm and Oslo. Climate sea entails the unprecedented volatility of the weather and experience all four seasons in one day is nothing extraordinary. Old Icelandic saying says: "If you do not like the weather in Iceland, then wait 5 minutes…" (malicious adding: "and will surely be even worse"). There are many things which surprised Iceland. Few people know that it is in this country created the world's oldest parliament , and that it is on the head of state of Iceland for the first time in the world was elected a woman (1980). The first europenman on the American continent was a descendant of Icelandic exiles rather than as propaganda proclaims - Christopher Columbus. Relations with America are also strong today. Express this is the highest intake coli per capita in the world oscillating in the vicinity of 120 litres per year… But not the same man cola lives, so passionately Icelandic eat his favourite drink… Polish wafer prince polo, which are available in virtually every shop on the island! For healthy food inhabitants of the island also should not complain because they themselves in heated greenhouses geotermalnie raising bananas, oranges and even coffee… Sometimes, however, where the geothermal activity area runs out of control, farmers receive in the form of collections, such as roasted potatoes… The population of the island only 300 thousand. population (that is less than twice the sheep living in the area), of which 200 thousand. lives in Reykjavik and its surroundings. The second largest city - Akureyri has only 15 thousand. residents. The rest are scattered at several kilometers of farm or small fishing village (inhabited mainly by Poles working in fisheries). Probably only in such a small country like Iceland is possible arrangement of the phone book not by name, and the names of subscribers. The more that oldnordic system for the development Icelandic names can cause that each of the members of the family (father, mother, son and daughter) will be honored with four different names! Reykjavik is a city pulsating with life. The famous weekend "runtur" night club after this event, which you can not miss. Hundreds of young people on the streets who do not seem to take in the fact astronomical price of alcohol sold exclusively controlled by the state monopoly stores, raves till dawn (although it is difficult to talk about the morning because it really has not done blind). Observing that unhealthy lifestyles, it is hard to believe that the average life expectancy Islandczyków exceed 80 years and is among the highest in the world. Iceland island is surprising at every step. It is impossible to describe all the diversities of the country, situated somewhere between Europe and America. My travel to iceland will be doubled and i will again feel this unique shock, which produces each day spent on the island.

The Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas

If you are going on a trip to the Bahamas, then you will obviously need and want to know where the best places are for you to stay, the best places without a doubt is the Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas.

The Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas is located on Paradise Island, near Nassau in the formerly British Bahamas and just a hop from Florida.

Why Should I Stay at the Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas?

There are many reasons why you should stay in the Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas, for one, the absolute fun filled time that you will have there. There is no hotel in all of Bahamas that has as much entertainment as the Atlantis Hotel in Bahamas, and so if you are looking to stay at a resort that is lively and full of excitement, then this is the best option for you.
As well, with the world’s largest marine habitat, the largest casino in the Bahamas, a 15 million dollar marina, lagoons, waterfalls, and the underwater ruins of Atlantis itself, vacationing at this resort has truly achieved a distinctive combination of comfort and adventure unlike that of any other vacation destination.

One of the highlights in particular of this resort is that of the Mayan Temple waterslides, which includes: the leap of faith slide, which is an almost 60 foot vertical drop which propels riders at speeds of 35 mph through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in the shark filled lagoon; the serpent slide, which is a spin through the temple’s mysterious core which then passes through a predator lagoon at a leisurely pace; and the challengers, which is a race down high speed dual slides.

The Atlantis Bahamas Resort is very large. You'll want a map to study so you know where everything is located. If you're in a large family or group, you may opt to stay in the Harborside Villas, which can give you the ability to stay together. Frequent shuttles run between the Villas and the actual Resort, although you can walk if you prefer. The Villas are only about a ten minute walk from the Resort. As if that weren't enough, the Atlantis Bahamas has expanded. In 2007, upscale towers were added to the resort, and the water park has been enlarged even further.

Food is available at the Resort attractions, or you can bring your own snacks. As with any vacation, plan appropriately so you can get the most out of your time.

There are many other great features of this resort as well, such as the Lazy River Ride which is the quarter mile meandering for tubing, eleven pool areas, Paradise Lagoon which boasts a 7 acre saltwater lagoon for snorkeling with thousands of tropical fish, and much more.
There is world class superior customer service all around, personalized service and amenities; there is truly nothing that you would want at a resort that you could not find at the Atlantis. As with any vacation, plan appropriately so you can get the most out of your time. You'll want to have as much fun with as little stress as possible. With a little preparation, you will have the vacation of your dreams at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort. It is easily the most fun-filled and action packed resort on all of the Bahamas, and this is why it is the number one resort for vacationers who travel to the Bahamas.

Paris Short Stay Vacations

Owing to its location, Paris has a temperate, oceanic climate; it's location straddling the banks of the river Seine make it a beautiful city to visit.
No visit to Europe would be complete without a Paris short stay vacations; it is almost guaranteed that a second, longer stay will be required.

It is known for its wonderful buildings, style, excellent food and wine; the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre must not go unmentioned. Fortunately for tourists, Paris has a first rate transportation system; the underground train system or Metro can take you to anywhere within the city and is simple to use.

The Eiffel Tower at over 300 meters tall and is a magnificent steel structure; it's visible throughout most of the city but the views from the top of this huge steel structure are even more impressive. You can be assured of an even more beautiful sight if you visit in the evening when it is illuminated; it is possible to take organized tours which tell the story of the Tower and the history of France.

On your Paris trip ensure you add the famous Champs Elysees to your list of places to visit; it will present you with many famous designer shops and good restaurants. This avenue may be select but it attracts large numbers of visitors daily; top class hotels are found here, although if you want to stay at a more reasonably priced hotel, they are available outside of the city center.
A trip to would not be complete without a visit to the Louvre museum; it holds in excess of 300,000 pieces of art, which cannot possibly be seen in a single visit. If you are an art lover then you could spend your whole short stay in Paris inside; the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo statue just two of many appreciated works of art. Paris has always been a magnetic destination for artists; the likes of Monet, Picasso and many others lived in the city for years and some of their work can still be seen today.

Another famous Paris attraction is The Arc de Triomphe which was built within the first decade of the nineteenth century; it provides visitors with a wonderful photo experience because it contains the names of every one of his generals. It also features an observatory to take in surrounding views; it stands in the place where the city's main avenues begin including the Champs Elysees.

Certainly it is not fair to believe that these are the only places in the city worth visiting; and whilst there are many more worthy examples, those listed here should not be missed. Unfortunately, "Paris short stay vacation" can be demanding on visitors; that would require a longer visit as you probably won't have time to visit the Gothic churches and castles in only a few days.

Inside a Capsule Hotel, Osaka, Japan

all you need for a night's sleep! - After you climb inside, you pull down the shade for privacy, settle under the futon, adjust the TV to a suitable channel, or maybe select a radio station ( earphones supplied ). Air is continually being fanned into the capsule - so that is all you hear when it's time to sleep - I couldn't hear any of my neighbors throughout the night at all - much quieter than I thought it would be. Something to try at least once if you visit Japan

Mist around a island in lake Chuzenji, Japan

Lake Chuzenji (Chuzenjiko) is a beautiful lake with forested shores at the foot of the sacred volcano Mount Nantai in Okunikko ("Inner Nikko"). The lake was formed by lava flows of the now extinct volcano several thousand years ago. It is part of Nikko National Park.

Access to Lake Chuzenji and the inner regions of the national park is via the "Irohazaka Winding Road". The road ascends more than 400 meters in altitude and is named "Iroha", because the original road consisted of 48 needlepoint curves, the same number as there are letters in the Japanese syllabary, formerly known as "iroha". There are separate roads for uphill and downhill traffic.

Chuzenji Onsen, a touristy hot spring resort, is located at the top of the Irohazaka road, at the eastern end of the lake. The resort's most popular attraction is the Kegon-no-taki, a spectacular, 97 meter high waterfall. The base of the waterfall can be accessed via an elevator.

A nice panoramic view of the Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji can be enjoyed from the Akechidaira Plateau, which is accessible via a ropeway or on foot. To take the ropeway, get off at the Akechidaira bus stop, one stop before Chuzenji Onsen (served only by buses heading in direction of Chuzenji Onsen).

At the resort's edge stands the second of the three Futarasan Shrines (the main shrine stands in central Nikko and the third on the summit of Mount Nantai). The trail to the summit of Mount Nantai starts from the shrine grounds. There is also a treasure house which displays some impressive swords.

A few hundred meters upstream from the confluence of Yukawa River into Lake Chuzenji, rumble the Ryuzu Falls, another set of spectacular waterfalls, particularly nice during the autumn leaf season, which usually reaches its peak in early to mid October.
